Electro-Acupuncture

Electro-acupuncture is a form of acupuncture that, relatively speaking, has recently come into use and is an increasingly popular form of treatment used by practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine.

Some scholars believe electro-acupuncture was first used in the early 1800's by physicians in France and Italy. Others believe it started in the 1940's when Japanese scientists were interested in making bone fractures heal more quickly. Still, others claim that

electro-acupuncture developed in 1958, when acupuncturists in China began to employ it as a form of pain relief.
